We Will Try To End Crisis In Afghanistan: Washington Says

017965411_30300KABUL: (MEP) Spokesman for the United States foreign department announced that his country supports the peace efforts between the Afghan government and the Taliban after the deadly attacks yesterday in capital Kabul.

Washington is ready to accept any political efforts to end the current crisis in Afghanistan, a spokesman for the US Foreign Ministry told the Russian Interfax news agency.

He said Washington is trying to ensure that Afghanistan’s Taliban insurgents and other opposition groups to renounce violence, cut ties with international terrorists and accept the Afghan constitution.

Interfax did not name the US official.

The US official stressed that the Afghan constitution noted to protect the rights of women and minorities in society.
