US Special Operations Forces Deployed To Kurdistan Region
KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to the Turkish Anadolu news agency, General Stone (senior American military commander in Iraq and current commander of anti-ISIL coalition) traveled to the Kurdistan region of Iraq and met Iraqi Kurdistan Regional President Masoud Barzani.
During this meeting the two sides agreed on deployment of American commando operations teams in Kurdistan Region.
Over the past two years, Iraqi Kurdistan turned into a base for the presence of US, Israeli and English soldiers and the French weapons depot as well.
As the term of Kurdish President Massoud Barzani is drawing to an end and according to Kurdistan’s presidency law, Barzani is only allowed to stay in office for two terms so he is trying to attract US forces by giving them concessions particularly by agreement on setting up US & Israel bases. He is going to satisfy Washington in order to support him to continue his illegal government.
Kurdistan delegation’s visits to America, the role of Joe Biden in support of Massoud Barzani as well as Israeli diplomats’ trips to Kurdistan region and their meeting with Massoud Barazny have created more concern these days.
