US Financial Support of ISIS by Purchasing Oil
KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to reports, in contrast with Washington officials’ claim regarding their unawareness of the ISIS terrorist activities, CIA trained these forces in a camp in Jordan in 2012. The interviews and documents which were released later demonstrate that Americans had for long planned to form a group with the same characteristics as ISIS. In Dec 2014 Martin Chulov, journalist of the British Guardian, in article ‘ISIS: the Inside Story’ published his interview with Abu Ahmed, one of the commanders of ISIS, and revealed more details of the US intervention in formation of ISIS. Abu Ahmed was one of the detainees in camp Bucca in south of Iraq. It was at Camp Bucca that Abu Ahmed first met Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the emir of ISIS, who was released from the camp in 2009 in Barak Obama’s presidency.
Hillary Clinton, the former United States Secretary of States, in her memoir ‘Hard Choices’, wrote about the Islamic State. She acknowledged that they had formed ISIS to separate the Middle East. She also wrote: We were supposed to introduce the ‘Islamic State’ in a meeting with our European allies in June 5, 2013. I had travelled to 112 countries to explain about the US role in forming this group and … but suddenly everything collapsed.
The Americans not only played a vital role in creating ISIS, but they also backed them with the help of media and providing equipments to the point that Obama Administration established significant economic relations with this terrorist group.
The group’s control over some oil regions of Iraq and Syria has enabled them to supply themselves by trading oil. The terrorists sell oil to Turkey at 20 dollars per gallon which is exported to the United Stated at the price of 40 dollars per gallon and Turkey is responsible for the money transfer. Obama Administration not only backs ISIS financially by purchasing oil from them, but also buys oil at a cheaper price.
