UK to Keep Backing Syria Militants until Assad is gone: Cameron
KABUL: (Middle East Press) British Prime Minister David Cameron says the UK will continue supporting militants fighting against the Syrian government, PressTV reported.
Cameron told the parliament on Wednesday that what he called the “moderate” militants will continue to be trained for their fight against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
Terrorists from the ISIL Takfiri group and other militant factions have caused a crisis in Syria, where they are committing atrocities against the nation.
Cameron, meanwhile, accused the government of supporting terrorists in the region, saying, “In Syria, the situation is far, far worse, but we should still continue, with others, with the plan of training the moderate Syrian opposition and trying to bring about a transition… That is the strategy we should pursue, for however long it takes to succeed.”

Apart from supporting the militants, the United Kingdom is also part of a US-led coalition that has been engaged in airstrikes purportedly against the ISIL Takfiris in Syria and neighboring Iraq.
Takfiris retreating
Meanwhile, there were reports that the last remaining Takfiri terrorists near the Syrian border with Lebanon were being eliminated by Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

The movement said on Wednesday that it had contained the al-Nusra militants in the Qalamun Mountains north of the Syrian capital Damascus.
Hezbollah television station al-Manar said the fighters were engaged in “violent clashes” near the city of Arsal, where they liberated several areas and destroyed the Takfiris’ vehicles, “leaving dozens dead and wounded.”
Hezbollah soldiers are “encircling the caves and the locations where the armed men of al-Nusra are.”
Al-Manar released footage showing the resistance fighters storming a hill in an offensive against the terrorist group, battling the government of President Assad.
Last August, elements from the al-Nusra and the ISIL Takfiri groups overran Arsal briefly and took several Lebanese captive. According to reports, 25 soldiers and police officers are still being held hostage.
