UK Police Arrested 6 Suspects Planning to Join ISIL

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Six people have been arrested by the UK Police on suspicion of planning to travel to Syria to join the ISIL terrorists group.

Four of the detainees are were arrested from Manchester airport, aged from 22 to 47, early on Wednesday, while two others had been detained the day before.

On Tuesday, police forces nabbed a 21-year-old man at Birmingham airport in central England and a 31-year-old man in Rochdale, near Manchester.

The six suspects are all British citizens, according to officials.

All the captive people are under questioning, Greater Manchester Police said.

The report comes after the arrestment of nine British nationals – five adults and four children – trying to cross into Syria by Turkish officials in March. Turkey deported the Britons on Tuesday.
