According to reports, Najia 18-year-old girl has died by swallowing rat poison as well as another 18-year-old newlywed named Abeda committed suicide by drinking acid but was later recovered after treatment.
Dr. Samir Enayat, head of Forensic Public Health for Faryab province said the body of Najia was transferred to Afghan-Turk hospital from Dawlat Abad district of the city of Maimana.
It is believed that Najia was raped before committing suicide.
Forensic Public Health head confirmed that according to examinations, the girl has lost her virginity following rape case therefore she swallowed rat poison.
Also, Abeda resident of Toymas village of Qaisar district who had only spent five days of her wedding, has drunk acid due to family violence.
The newlywed bride was moved to hospital on time where her health condition is reported to be satisfactory.
