two teenage mine planters arrested in KunduMEP: Kunduz police on Monday morning have arrested two teenagers on charges of planting roadside mine across the city, an official said.

Hijratullallah Akbari, a spokesman for Kunduz police chief said the 15-year-old boys were encouraged by one of the armed Taliban commanders to carry out attacks against government forces.

According to Akbari, the two boys have so far embedded and exploded three roadside bombs on the outskirts of Kunduz.

The two mine planters in the interrogation confessed to their crimes and said, Malam Sher one of the prominent Taliban commanders forced them into the work.

According to the two boys, the Taliban had given them money for each blast.

The armed Taliban have not yet commented on the report.

The development comes as two days ago, Kunduz police had abandoned a child from the hands of kidnappers.
