MEP: As a result of Taliban’s aggressive attacks on security posts in Nad Ali and Nehr Saraj districts of Helmand province, two local policemen were killed and nine others wounded.

A large number of Taliban insurgents were also killed in clashes.

Omar Zwak, spokesman for the governor of Helmand told the Middle East News Agency the Taliban insurgents launched its deadly attacks last night that were faced with resistance.

More than a dozen insurgents have been killed and wounded in the conflicts, Zwak added.

Helmand governor’s spokesman noted the air and ground forces deployed to the regions and the operations are ongoing between the two sides.

The Taliban insurgents also confirmed the report saying they have captured two security posts after attacking the security forces.

However, Zwak denies the claim by Taliban.
