Two Bomb Attacks Claim 15 Lives Across Iraq

KABUL: (MEP) Two separate roadside bombs have killed at least 15 people in Ramadi and Baghdad cities of Iraq, officials said Monday.

In addition, nine others were sustained injuries.

One blast exploded in Mahmudiya district, south of the capital Baghdad, on Sunday, killing two people and wounding nine others, Arabic-language al-Sumeria news website reported.

While, the second blast went off in the al-Bu Ghanim village, in Sufiyah district, east of the Anbar provincial capital, Ramadi killing at least 13 people, including seven women and three children.

The bombings occurred when the civilians were on the move to escape from the Islamic State group’s violence in the region.

The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by violence ever since Islamic State (IS) began an offensive in Iraqi territory in June 2014.
