Turkish Police Warns Of ISIS Attack On May 19 In Ankara
MEP: Turkey’s police issued a warning on Monday to the security services to prepare for a wave of ISIS terrorist attacks on May 19 in the country’s capital Ankara.
Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT) warned authorities that 10 ISIS militants had entered Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province and were planning attacks in several towns, reported Hurriyet.
The attack is likely planned during Youth and Sports Day celebrations on May 19, according to Hurriyet Daily News, citing security sources. Police said stricter security measures should be adopted.
The report comes as Turkey have been targeted by numerous ISIS attacks in recent years leaving scores dead and injured.
