Turkey Sends 400 Forces to Afghanistan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The government of Turkey has announced to send an additional of 400 forces in Afghanistan by next year.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The government of Turkey has announced to send an additional of 400 forces in Afghanistan by next year.
The announcement was done by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday.
Cavusoglu said that Turkey will continue to train and prepare Afghan security forces, a mission that will be conducted in both Afghanistan and Turkey.
He also restated Turkey’s commitment to support development projects in Afghanistan which will mostly focus on substructure, agriculture, schools, and hospitals.
Afghanistan is currently having almost 700 Turkey troops who are serving under the NATO-led Resolute Support mission.
Turkey has also taken over the responsibility of Kabul International Airport which is used for both military and civilian purposes.
Cavusoglu added Turkey will spend USD 57.83 million to track Kabul International Airport which has been taken over on a two-year period.
