Turkey Bribe Athena To Release A Ship Carrying Smuggled Weapons

TurkeyMEP: According to French media, a Turkey-bound cargo ship carrying heavy weapons—procured by Saudi arms dealers—, loaded in England and France, was seized by Greek coast guards.

The ship’s final destination was Lebanon’s northern city of Tripoli and the consignment was to be delivered to Mr. Khaled Daher, a Lebanese MP, infamous for his support for Syrian rebels.

The plan was then to send the smuggled weapons to al-Nusra Front terrorists in Syria under the aegis of Turkish intelligence [MİT]. The ship embarked its journey from France with the prior with prior notice of Dai al-Islam Abdullah al-Chahal–a leader of notorious Salafist movement–and Mr. Khaled Daher.

The Turkish authorities immediately intervened to rescue the cargo ship and coerced Athena into discharging the ship without delay.

Eventually, Turkish intelligence could save the day by paying $750,000 to one of the senior Greek coast guard officers.

The Greek authorities responsible for this scandal, sought to vindicate themselves by claiming that after thorough inspection, they found nothing but boxes of fishing bullets.
