Trump Calls ‘Hillary Clinton’ ‘The Devil’, Says US Presidential Election ‘Will Be Rigged’

donald-trump-v-800MEP: Donald Trump, the US Republican presidential nominee hit a fresh low of insulting his political rivals on Monday night when he referred to Hillary Clinton as “the devil” and claimed that there is a possibility of the US presidential election being “rigged”.

“I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged, I have to be honest,” the Republican nominee told a town hall crowd in Columbus, Ohio.

The billionaire businessman said he hears “more and more” that the November 8 vote may not be contested fairly.

Trump made the claim after first suggesting that the Democrats had fixed their primary system so Hillary Clinton could defeat Bernie Sanders.

He reiterated his claims using even stronger language during an interview with Fox News on Monday evening, in which he told Sean Hannity “the election is going to be rigged,” while also calling on Republicans to watch proceedings “very closely.”

The Republican nominee has in the past few days faced a barrage of criticism following his controversial comments about the Gold Star parents of a Muslim soldier killed in Iraq.

In response to an emotional attack on him by the parents of 27-year-old army captain Humayun Khan, who died in a suicide bombing, Trump had claimed to have made sacrifices equal to their son.

Trump made the remarks after suggesting that the Democratic Party had fixed its primaries to help Hillary Clinton defeat Bernie Sanders in the race for presidential nomination.
