Traffic Incident on Kabul-Mazar Highway Killed 3, Injured 48

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 3 people have been killed and 48 others have been wounded following a poisonous traffic incident in northern Baghlan province.

The incident took place on Kabul-Mazar highway on Friday after a passenger bus crushed with an Afghan National Police (ANP) truck.

Eyewitnesses said, the incident took place due to reckless and high speed driving by the drivers of the two vehicles.

The highway was closed for a short period of time to the traffic following the incident, provincial police spokesman Javid Basharat said, adding that women and children were among those wounded.

Basharat further added that the incident took place in Pul-e-Khumri city around 10:00 am local time.
