Traffic Accident Kills Family Members Of ‘Parliament Speaker’
KABUL: (MEP) At least four family members of the head of the House of Representatives were killed and seven others injured in a traffic accident in Kunduz province.
The crash took place on Sunday evening in Dasht Abadan area of Imam Sahib district, when the Imam Sahib district police chief’s car collided with a truck, Mahfozullah Akbari, spokesman for Kunduz provincial police chief told Middle East Press.
According to him, in this incident, four members of the family of Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, Speaker of the House of Representatives were killed and seven others wounded.
Akbari, about the identity of the injured and whether the Imam Sahib district police chief also include them, did not provide information.
Meanwhile, a number of MPs say that among the dead in the accident, grandmother and three cousins of the head of parliament are included.
