KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 18 people were confirmed dead and three others sustained injuries following a traffic accident in western Badghis province Sunday morning.
According to officials say the incident took place in Band Mandagan area of Bala Murghab District.
Governor of Bala Murghab District, Ahmadzia Akazai says that the bus due to high speed turned turtle as it was coming from Herat province leaving most of the passengers dead.
Ambulances and help assistance have reached the scene and the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Reckless driving and high speed cause deadly accidents every year in Afghanistan in which scores of people loses their lives.
