Three Foreign Nationals Along With 25 Taliban Killed In Nangarhar

Clashes in AfghanistanMEP: As a result of security forces military operations in Hisarak district of eastern Nangarhar province, 25 armed Taliban, including three Chechen civilians were killed and 18 others wounded.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense said Saturday the operations were launched last night in the surrounding areas of the district.

A senior armed Taliban commander was also killing in the operations, the statement added.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense announced of detaining of 22 suspected in north of the country and the killing of 35 armed Taliban in Kunduz province.

The statement further adds that during the operations in the districts of Dehrawod, Terenkot and the provincial capital of Uruzgan and Maiwand district of Kandahar, 22 suspects were arrested, and five different types of mines discovered and destroyed.

Also in the last 24 hours as a result of air and ground attacks in Dasht-e Archi district of Kunduz province, 35 armed Taliban were killed and two mines discovered and defused, according to the source.

The armed Taliban group did not comment on the report so far.
