The German Researcher: War Against ISIS Is A Fiasco
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Dr. Clemens Schmitt, a distinguished researcher at Global Public Policy Institute, a leading think-tank in Berlin said in an interview with Minute– a German weekly–, that it is only the Iraqi local forces who possess the genuine motivation and capability to thwart Saudi Arabia’s malevolent agenda for the war-stricken region, adding, U.S. airstrikes are no less than a wicked parody of a worn-out superpower.
Referring to Washington-led campaign against the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Dr. Clemens Schmitt added that President Obama’s strategy in Iraq has so far shown indeed little success to hamper ISIS insurgents rampaging across the Middle-East.
