Terrorist Attack Rocks Syria’s Qamishli, Kills 13 Civilians, Injures 50

20140227KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 13 civilians were killed, and 50 others were injured in a terrorist car bomb explosion near al-Sinaa roundabout in Qamishli city, 80 km north of Hasaka province on Wednesday, state-run SANA news agency reported.

A source at Qamishli administration headquarters told SANA that a suicide terrorist detonated a car bomb near al-Sinaa area, killing 13 civilians and injuring 50.

The car bomb was loaded with sand, the source added, stressing that the explosion also left material damage to the public properties.

A source at Qamishli National Hospital said that 50 injured civilians were admitted to the hospital.

The so-called’ Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri organization is used to attack innocent civilians of Hasaka Province through using car and motorcar bombs, explosive devices and various kinds of shells.

The Syrian government denounced the terrorist bombing and stated that the terrorist act is a desperate attempt to undermine the steadfastness of the Syrian people and face the victories of the Syrian Army.

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi held terrorism-backing countries the responsibility for the crime, calling upon the international bodies to carry out their humanitarian role in pressurizing these countries to stop sponsoring and supporting terrorists.

Halqi stressed that such acts will never dissuade the Syrians from confronting terrorists and eliminating them from all the Syrian land.
