Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Sher Mohammad has confessed that he was trained in Juma Khani training center in Aaq Tapa area of Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province by Taliban militants, the Ministry added.
The boy said that the training center was managed by Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghafoor and was appointed by him to carry out the attack 20 days ago.
According to the Ministry, he was ordered to carry suicide attack after another suicide bomber ran a vehicle packed with explosives in one of the crowded areas of the city.
Yaqoob attempted to flee and was on his way back to Kunduz province when he was identified and arrested by the security intelligence.
Taliban insurgents have recently started training children as suicide bombers to target the Afghan security forces and cause destructions in the country.
