A statement by National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Sunday the 7-year-old boy was detained from the fifth district of Kabul city.
The statement added that the boy planned to carry out a suicide attack in a crowded area of Kabul that before the operation, was arrested.
According to the statement, the enemies of Afghanistan use the Afghan children to make them carry related activities, including suicide attacks, however the security forces are in the neutralization of these attacks.
This comes as earlier a child who had been preparing for a suicide attack, after finding out the result of his action, had surrendered to police in Nangarhar province.
