KABUL: (Middle East Press) A group of four men have brutally gang-raped a 14 year old girl in Dara-e-Suf district of northern Samangan province, local officials said Saturday.
The incident took place last Friday where the girl was initially kidnapped and was repeatedly raped by the group.
Two of the men have been arrested and are in custody of the police forces for further investigation, said he district administrative chief Ahmad Ali Hasani.
According to Hassani, the two men were arrested after they were identified by the victim but the two other men have not been arrested so far.
According to a government survey, around 65 rape case were recorded in six provinces last year where child rape happens more frequently.
The incident comes as raping and child abuse has rapidly increased in the country since last year.
