Taliban’s 19-member network arrested in Kandahar

A 19-member network of Armed Taliban, including three of their commanders were arrested in the Kandahar province, during a return from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) today announced that the special forces of the department have arrested a 19-member armed Taliban network from Kandahar province; Middle East Press reported.

The statement issued by the National Directorate of Security (NDS), Say; “Noorullah known as Abu Zuhr” commander of a 40-member group, Fateh son of M. Ishaq commander of a 40-member group and Hamidullah son of Murad khan known as Saqeb commander of Armed Taliban`s Red Corps and 16 others were detained in Kandahar.

According to the NDS, detainees had traveled to Pakistan in in the cold season to get military training and receive orders from Quetta Council.

It was also said that the individuals in cooperation with Quetta Council were taking part in destruction and terror cases in Qandahar, Zabul and Logar provinces.
