Taliban Took Control of Badakhshan’s Yamgan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Taliban insurgent group have launched coordinated attacks on Yamgan district of north-eastern Badakhshan province early Saturday and have fully taken control of the district, local officials said.

Shah Wali Adeeb, Provincial Acting Governor said, the attack took place when Taliban insurgents including foreigners stormed the district and started clashing with security forces early today.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
