Taliban Stoned Couple To Death For Adultery Charges In Sar-e-Pul

TalibanKABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly stoned to death a man and woman for having dissolute contacts in northern Sar-e-Pul province, officials said Sunday.

Taliban militants had earlier kidnapped the man and woman, Abdul Jabar Haqbin, acting governor of Sar-e-Pul province said, adding that the execution was eventually took place in Kata Qala area of Suzma Qala district on Saturday.

Haqbin further noted, Taliban planned to execute the detainees on Friday but it was delayed due to an airstrike by Afghan forces.

According to Haqbin, both the man and woman have children.

The woman have 2 children and is a resident of Khorasan area of Suzma Qala district.

Human Rights and Women’s Rights have repeatedly asked the authorities to maintain the security of their citizens in the country.
