Hamdullah Daneshi, the deputy governor of Kunduz said the Taliban militants have seized the National Directorate of Security agency (NDS) and the central prison in the city.

He added, more than 700 of prisoners were released by the militants during the seizer of the city.

The Taliban militants have also attacked a building of three private banks using heavy and light weapons.

Some residents of Kunduz city in phone calls to “MiddleEastPress” said the buildings of NDS, the United Nations (UN) office and a private radio network building are completely burned by Taliban militants.

According to them, people have left the city and are adrift in far locations however Taliban continues attacks and there are heavy gun battle ongoing between Taliban members and security forces.
