Taliban Militants Launch Coordinated Attacks on Kunduz Security Check posts

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly launched coordinated attacks on police security check posts in northern Kundoz province, killing at least four policemen and injuring 10 others.

The incident occurred in Sarak Bala and Qarya Nasib areas between security forces and Taliban militants, said Faqir Mohammad Zakhilwal, a police officer in Chahrdara District.

Zakhilwal added that Taliban militants have also seized eight villages in these areas during the conflict.

At least 10 Taliban militants were also killed in the retaliatory fire from security forces, according to police reports.

However, Taliban are yet to comment on the report.
