Taliban Launch Coordinated Attacks In Central Baghlan
MEP: Armed Taliban have launched its aggressive coordinated attacks on security checkpoints of Central Baghlan district of Baghlan province from several areas, officials said.
Gawhar Khan Babari, Central Baghlan district’s Governor told the Middle East Press the attacks were conducted this morning from a few endurance.
He said the security forces engaged in the attacks as a whole are pushing the Taliban out of areas of central Baghlan district.
Meanwhile, a resident of Central Baghlan district also said “the Taliban’s attacks this morning on the local police security checkpoints in villages of Shafi Khel and Shahi Khel started strongly and continue”.
Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
The report comes as the armed Taliban a while ago had launched offensive attacks on Dand-e-Ghori district of Baghlan province and civil society activists say a number of districts are in danger of collapse.
