The incident occurred in 18km from Maimana city, the capital of Faryab province where the girl lives in.
Local officials and a representative from Faryab province says in the House of Parliament that the girl despite the fact of having a fiancé, keeping contact with a non-mahram man.
According to reports, the girl’s fiancé were unable to hold wedding ceremony due to poverty.
However, religious scholars have strongly condemned the action, calling it un-Islamic.
