According to reports, the incident took place late Wednesday night in Musa Qala district of Helmand province after the militants belonging to the Taliban, wearing Afghan National Police uniform and using police vehicle, killed dozens of policemen and have seized their weapons.
Local officials said that the police had received a phone call in the same outpost that their colleagues are supposed to come for visit however they were not prepared for the attack.
Meanwhile, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, who introduces himself as Taliban spokesman, has claimed responsibility for the attack adding that the Taliban were taken eight policemen along.
