Taliban Assault Increased by 68% in Provinces of Afghanistan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to the Afghan Intelligence National Directorate of Security (NDS) the suicide attack speed has raised up to 68 percent in major provinces, including capital Kabul.

NDS spokesman Haseeb Sediqi said during a press conference in Kabul, that the Taliban militants group has suffered heavy fatalities and do not have potentials of facing Afghan security forces in battle grounds.

Sediqi further added that the group has increased suicide attacks in most regions and provinces, including the capital Kabul in a bid to show their power.

Meanwhile, Sediqi said the rate of revolution has dropped by 45 percent across the country since the Afghan national security officials have carried out a series of flourishing military operations.

According to Sediqi, the Afghan security officials are currently occupied in with the Taliban insurgents in only six provinces which shows a significant reduction as compared to the past where violence continued in 22 provinces.

He also added that the Afghan intelligence department has carried out around 150 operations in the past two months, which have resulted to heavy losses to the Taliban, including their senior leaders.

Sediqi said the government is working on a tactic to better face threats posed by Taliban which will be concluded in the future.
