Taliban And Daesh Suffer Heavy Casualties In Afghan Operations

Taliban and Daesh killed in Afghan operationsMEP: As a result of different Afghan military operations in a number of provinces, 22 members of Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terror group and 27 armed Taliban were killed and many others injured.

The Ministry of Defense released a statement on Monday saying the Afghan security forces killed at least 22 Daesh elements and injured 21 others following air strikes and artillery attacks in Naziyan and Achin districts of Nangarhar Province in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, in the provinces of Kunduz, Faryab and Samangan, 27 armed Taliban were killed, 15 injured, eight arrested and three vehicles belonging to the group seized by security forces, the statement added.

The operations were launched in Dasht-e Archi district of Kunduz, Ghormach district of Faryab and Dara Sot Payen of Samangan province.

The armed Taliban also wrote on Twitter that they have defeated the security forces in Qala Zal district of Kunduz province and heavy clashes are ongoing in a number of provinces.
