Taliban Accept Responsibility for Kabul Police Academy Attack

talibanKABUL: (Middle East Press) The Taliban militants has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing on Kabul police academy that killed and wounded at least 60 people late Friday.

Dawn news, one of the few news sources for Afghan Taliban in Pakistan, writes that Zabi-ullah Mujahid, spokesman for Taliban group has accepted responsibility of the attack.

The suicide attack took place after the suicide bomber wearing a police suit detonated his explosives among trainees of Kabul’s police academy in 5th police district of capital Kabul on Friday.

This was the first major attack of the insurgent group under the leadership of its new supreme leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour.

This was second deadliest suicide attack in Kabul yesterday but no group has claimed responsibility for the first one that left 20 killed and up to 500 others injured in Shah Shaheed area.
