Supreme Leader of Iran: Fighting Arrogance to continue
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said on Saturday that the US is the ultimate embodiment of Arrogance and Iranian nation will continue opposing ‘Arrogant Powers’ even after a nuclear deal is reached.
Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei received a number of students from universities across the country on Saturday evening in an annual ‘Iftar’ event in Ramadan and touched upon various issues including idealism, regional developments, Iranian nation’s continued fight against Western arrogance and the contemporary student issues
The Leader of Revolution in response to a student’s question about the continuation of opposing Arrogant Powers after the nuclear negotiations rhetorically asked if there ever was any end to it. He added that fighting the Arrogant Powers was a ‘Revolutionary principle’ and such is the basic foundation of following the Holy Quran.
“The United States is the ultimate embodiment of Arrogance. Get ready to continue combating the Arrogant Powers,” said the Leader, emphasizing that Iran’s opposition to the US wouldn’t end if a nuclear accord is reached between Tehran and the six states.
Elsewhere, he referred to the current crisis in Yemen and the brutal killing of the innocent people there, censuring the ‘liberal West’ for keeping their silence on the Saudi regime’s crimes and the United Nations Security Council for sufficing to issuance of only one resolution “which condemned the assaulted instead of the assailants.”
“The US and reactionary Arabs confess in their secret meetings to the astonishing spiritual, and not physical, presence of Iran in the region. Angry at this spiritual influence, Saudis have been striking on hospitals, public buildings and the nation of Yemen for 100 days now,” Ayatollah Khamenei asserted.
