KABUL: (Middle East Press) Two suicide bombers in women’s dress have been arrested by Afghan national security forces following an operation in western Herat province on Wednesday.
Local security officials said the two suicide bombers were looking to carry out suicide attacks and had concealed themselves in women’s dress.
A spokesman for the Afghan National Army (ANA) Mehdi Rezaye said the two suicide bombers were arrested from Guzara district.
The suicide bombers were looking to carry out attacks on some military and government targets on airport road in Herat province, Rezaye added.
He said the detained bombers have confessed to their crimes and are currently in security forces custody.
The militant groups are yet to comment regarding the report.
