KABUL: (MEP) – A suicide bomber set off his explosives after was shot by Afghan border protection police forces in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday.
According to local government officials, the suicide bomber was shot dead in Spin Boldak district near the Pakistan border on Tuesday afternoon.
Provincial government media office following a statement said the suicide bomber detonated a car packed with explosives in Wesh area of Spin Boldak district around 2pm local time, after he was recognized by police forces, khaama reported.
The source further added that only the suicide bomber was killed following the explosion and Afghan security forces and civilians did not suffer any casualties.
Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the incident.
