Suicide Attack Kills, Wounds 30 in Lashkargah City

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A suicide car bombing in Lashkargah province has claimed seven lives and injured 23 others.

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed the attack in a press release stating that at least 18 people were killed and injured.

Mohammad Jan Rassoulyar, Deputy acting Governor of southern Helmand province said the incident attack took place around 6 p.m. in police district three of the city when police forces stopped a suspicious car.

“The target was police officers, but several civilians were also injured,” Rassoulyar added.

According to officials there were four security forces among dead ones.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
