Suicide Attack Kills 4, Injures 5 in Helmand Province

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A relatively heavy blast in southern Helmand province killed at least four civilians and wounded five others Monday evening, officials reported.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A relatively heavy blast in southern Helmand province killed at least four civilians and wounded five others Monday evening, officials reported.

Omar Zwak, provincial governor spokesman said the incident took place after a suicide bomber detonated a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device in Lashkargah city, the capital of Helmand province.

The suicide bomber exploded the explosives near a security check post, Zwak added.

In the meantime, another security official said at least five people including two policemen and three were killed following the attack.

The injured ones have been immediately shifted to the nearby hospital.

No group or individuals has claimed responsibility behind the attack so far.
