suicide attack in SyriaKABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 10 civilians were killed in a suicide attack in the western Syrian city of Homs on Saturday, the Al-Mayadeen television channel said.

A military Syrian source told media earlier that extremists had blown up a bomb-laden car in a city street.

On Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Syrian government forces and rebels reached a ceasefire agreement in the city of Zabadani, in the Idlib province, and the two Shiite towns of Fuah and Kafraya to allow locals to leave.

Earlier in the day, a Sputnik reporter said the truce had been breached in Zabadani, close to the Lebanese border.

According to Al-Mayadeen, Fuah and Kafraya also came under artillery fire by insurgents despite the agreed upon ceasefire.

Syria has been in the state of a civil war since the 2011 political collapse. Government forces have been fighting on multiple fronts against opposition forces and numerous extremist militant groups, including the Islamic State and the Nusra Front.
