Suicide Attack In Mazar-e-Sharif Leaves 1 Dead, 14 Injured
MEP: At least one person was killed and 14 others wounded in a suicide attack in 2nd police district of Mazar-e Sharif on Tuesday afternoon, local officials and hospital sources said.
Muneer Ahmad Farhad, a spokesman for the governor of Balkh province told the Middle East Press the attack took place at 1:00 pm at the intersection of city’s Mandawi area.
He said the suicide attacker detonated his explosives among the civilians inside a shopping center, as a result, one civilian was killed and 14 others wounded.
Farhad added the injured in the incident were transferred to the civilian hospital of Mazar-e Sharif.
Meanwhile, Noor Mohammad Faiz, head of hospital’s surgeons said, one dead body and fourteen wounded were arrived in the hospital.
He said two women and three children are among the injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
