Unrests and protests stormed the city of LA in United States following the death of black man George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Accordingly, Governor Gavin Newsom on Saturday night authorized assistance after a request from the city and county of Los Angeles, and proclaimed a state of emergency in Los Angeles County.

Following the protests, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti also announced that the National Guard will be deployed to the city of Los Angeles overnight “to maintain peace and safety.”

The U.S. National Guard has been operating in 12 states and the Columbia region since yesterday to help police crackdown on protesters.

Minneapolis police fired tear gas, canisters and plastic bullets at protesters and even journalists.
