Soldiers to train Afghan police from new base

KABUL: (MEP) – Soldiers from the Midlands and Anglia regions who have taken over the main operating base in Helmand Province will also provide training for local forces.

The Royal Anglian Regiment – known as The Poachers – is now responsible for the Lashkar Gah training center, where the Afghan National Police can get training.

The soldiers will also run the Operational Coordination Centre – Provincial, which coordinates the work between the Afghan National Army and the Afghan Police, teaching them how to work together to provide security, central news reported.
