KABUL: (Middle East Press) The death toll has raised to over 300 people due to heavy snow fall in different parts of the country.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah said while talking to the Ministers Council on Monday that the death toll due to heavy snow fall has increased to more than 300 people.

Abdullah Abdullah also warned possible floods due to heavy snowfall and raining in parts of the country. He added that the related governmental organizations need to speed up their activities to overwhelm the possible hazard.

The effected provinces are Panjshir, Badakhshan, Baghlan and Faryab hit by heavy snow. Beside human lives, hundreds of animals have also died and dozens of houses destroyed.

Only in the province of Panjshir over two hundred people are recorded dead during past one week.
