An official who spoke on the condition of anonymity said a cook serving with the policemen in the check post was found dead during the disappearance of the soldiers.
The official further added that the check post is located in Amir Beland Agha area and the policemen have disappeared along with the weapon and a vehicle.
No reports are given regarding the locations of the missing soliders and it is yet unclear if it was insider attack or the insurgents attack.
The insurgents group have not made comments in this regard so far.
This comes as heavy clashes ongoing in Musa Qala district of Helmand province as the Taliban militants advance towards the district center.
