Six Policemen Killed As Taliban Attack Helmand Outpost
KABUL: (MEP) Taliban insurgents have reportedly attacked a police checkpoint in southern Helmand province in which at least six policemen were killed and several others sustained injuries.
The attack occurred on Monday afternoon in Gereshk district of the province, according to local officials.
Heavy clashes later erupted between the two sides as a result a number of Taliban insurgents were also killed and wounded.
Taliban insurgents are yet to comment on the incident.
