Six People Arrested Over Kidnapping of 16 De-miners In Herat
KABUL: (MEP) At least six people accused of involving in the abduction of 16 de-miners have been arrested from Kohsan district of Herat province.
Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, a spokesman for Herat police headquarters told Middle East Press, a number of unknown gunmen on Friday, have kidnapped 16 employees of mine organization from Ahmad Abad area of Kohsan district.
According to him, six people were arrested in connection with the case and operations on the release of these employees started.
Herat police spokesman stated that the possibility of transferring the de-miners have been identified however he refused to specify it due to intelligence issues.
No group has far claimed responsibility behind kidnapping.
