Six Passengers Kidnapped by Rebels on Farah-Herat Highway

imagesKABUL: (Middle East Press) At least six passengers have been kidnapped by insurgents on Farah-Herat high way in western Farah province of Saturday morning, local officials said.

The officials added that the incident took place after the insurgents had blocked the highway and then abducted the passengers.

A member of the provincial council Dadullah Qaneh confirmed the incident and said the issue of the road blockage by the militants has been resolved but there are not reports regarding the fate of the hostages.

Kidnapping has been rapidly increased on main highways of the country according to reports especially during the recent year.
