Several Explosions and Gunfire Rock Capital Kabul
KABUL: (Middle East Press) About seven to eight powerful explosions rocked the building of Wolesi Jirga or lower house of parliament on Darul Aman road in the capital Kabul on Monday morning, eyewitnesses said.
The incident took place when Masoom Stanekzai was about to nominate as the Minister of National Defense presented to the assembly for a vote of confidence.
According to reports, a suicide bomber has detonated his explosives inside the house of parliament and the gate of the House of Representatives.
Security officials said clashes and gunfire are continue at the scene and no reports of casualties are given so far.
