Several Bombings Kills 11, Injures 28 in Iraq’s Baghdad

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Several attacks and bombings in Baghdad’s Iraq killed at least 11 people and over 28 others injured, sources say.

The explosions were caused by two car bombings and a booby-trap bomb attack leaving heavy causalities behind.

On Tuesday, five people lost their lives and at least 10 others were wounded when a bomb planted in a car parked across the street from Yarmuk hospital in the west of Baghdad was detonated, the Iraqi al-Forat news agency reported.

The second blast took place in a residential area in Mahmudiyah, south of the Iraqi capital, killing at least four and injuring at least 13.

The booby-trap bomb explosion, in which two people were killed and 5 others injured, occurred in a market in northern Baghdad.

No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the deadly attacks, however such incidents are usually carried out by Takfiri ISIL terrorists.

Meanwhile, The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has said nearly 1,000 people were killed by violence in March, while over 2,170 others were injured.
