MEP: The Afghan security forces have managed to rescue 10 passengers out of 18 abductees from Taliban insurgents in Kunduz-Baghlan highway.
Operations are underway to rescue the remaining 8 other passengers.
Hijratullah Akbari, Police chief of Kunduz confirmed the report saying ten passengers were rescued last night.
According to him, three Taliban insurgents were also detained during the operation.
Around 200 passengers have been kidnapped on Tuesday morning when a large number of gunmen stopped their vehicles in Kunduz-Baghlan highway.
The insurgents released most of the passengers but killed 10 of them brutally and left their bodies on the roads.
However, security forces saved the kidnapped passengers but 8 of them are still in their custody.
